There has been some controversy lately over exactly how much “The New Day” is stealing our guitar techniques. (I know, right? Shameful.) But to be fair to #1 Candidate sound thief, David Bowie, when we were doing the demo of “April Again” we were literally trying to steal the tone, sound and feel (pretty much everything) of this glorious masterpiece.

Here’s an interesting side note, this song is a total dis song. He’s mocking Gary Numan, from what I’ve heard. That seems pretty accurate based on the lyrics. It sort of makes you wonder why Bowie was concerning himself with earthly affairs.
