True story. I don’t think the internet has mentioned our band a single time without Laurence being aware of it. Someone posted a thread on the classy, respectful forums at Something Awful about “great” bands that no one had ever heard. One such band was your favorite dreamrock purveyors, Candidate. My mom would humbly disagree with the never heard part (and maybe with the great part, too). The other band was these genteel southern gentlemen of Quiet Hounds. Since I first heard, I have listened to both releases several several times. The other day I had a song fragment running through my mind and couldn’t place it. Turns out it was “Southern Charm” by the Hounds. Such is the nature of these earworms that they have apparently permanently etched themselves on my subconscious.
