Well, this is a rather serendipitous event in the illustrious history of “Other Jamz We Enjoy.” If you are in the NYC area, you will have two opportunities to these see these artists collectively known as Field Mouse this weekend. Tonight, Friday the 19th, and tomorrow at this popsicle stand (note: it’s not really a popsicle stand) called The Cuddle Cave. That’s the one I will attend, as I am firmly in the camp of people in favor of venues with names like The Cuddle Cave. If I were forced to speculate on punishment of death, I would wager my life on the fact that Laurence Adams would scoff at this name.

To me, the ever humble Chris Yorke Bono Martin, this band sounds like the soundtrack to a dream coming true. Yes, they are that good. They bill themselves as dreampop or shoegaze, depending on their mood, I guess. Speaking as a person who had just finished listening to “Heaven or Las Vegas” for billionth time right before listening to these guys for the first time, I can confirm the accuracy of this appellation, but I feel they add something contemporary to or update the sound.
